KFC may be known for its fried chicken, but it’s about to make a move into the fashion world, partnering with HYPE to launch a 47-piece clothing line.

The fast food chain has partnered with lifestyle brand HYPE to create a collection of clothes and accessories including hoodies, down jackets and bucket hats (no pun intended).

The co-branded clothing and accessories line features designs inspired by both brands, mixing KFC’s ironic interactive messages with HYPE’s bold historical statements.

The exclusive range covers your everyday garments and includes bralettes, joggers, t-shirts, caps and backpacks, which the brands claim will ensure you look “festival-ready and finger-licking good”.

Inspired by KFC history, including menus and slogans, the collection includes the original HYPE dad cap shape with “Bargain Bucket” emblazoned on the front.

There is also home wear in soft fabric with “It’s Finger Licking Good” branding on top.

For those looking for a more discreet touch, the range includes accessories including a KFC bucket bag and a KFC drink bag, which have been carefully designed to hold a chicken bucket and a KFC drink respectively.

The notoriety of both brands means this is a pairing made in food and fashion heaven and the collaboration is sure to be appreciated by Insta influencers.

The collection will launch exclusively at Hype’s Carnaby London store, via justHYPE.com and in select retailers around the world starting August 4, 2022.

KFC isn’t the only fast food restaurant craving a bite of the trendy burger.

Last week it was announced that Greggs has once again teamed up with high street giant Primark to launch a second fashion collaboration.

Months after causing a stampede in stores across the UK, the company announced its latest collection of 21 items that aim to help fans prepare for the festival in style.

It will launch in Primark stores on August 5, although there will also be previews in select countries and cities.

McDonalds also dipped its nuggets into the world of style, previously launching a home wear collection that featured a range of home favorites.

The “brekkiewear” included a buttoned dress, pajama bottoms and a t-shirt with bacon and egg McMuffins, hash brown and other favorite breakfast dishes covered all over.

Tapping into a trend for ’90s nostalgia, Pizza Hut launched an entire clothing collection last year.

Called Pizza Hut Tastewear, the limited edition capsule line included the latest streetwear trends, with tracksuits and slippers with designs inspired by the iconic Pizza Hut red roof, checkered tablecloths and Tiffany-style lamps.
